Celebrating Student Excellence
Each month, the Sun Prairie Optimist Club proudly recognizes exceptional students from local middle schools and high schools through our Student of the Month program.
These students exemplify optimism in action — showing dedication to academics, leadership in their schools, kindness toward others, and service within the community.
By highlighting their accomplishments, we encourage young people to keep striving, growing, and inspiring those around them.
What the Program Is All About
The Student of the Month program is one of our most meaningful traditions. Each honoree is selected by their school’s staff and recognized during a special Optimist Club meeting. Students are celebrated alongside their families, educators, and community leaders.
We honor students for their:
Academic effort and improvement
Positive attitude and leadership
Community service and volunteerism
Kindness and respect for others
Determination to overcome challenges
How It Works
Sun Prairie high school staff nominate students.
The Optimist Club invites honorees and their families to attend a recognition luncheon.
Students receive a certificate of achievement and are featured on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
This partnership between the Club and local educators ensures students feel valued and supported as they grow into tomorrow’s leaders.
